Come worship the pepper at Benington Chilli Festival this August bank holiday weekend, the coolest venue for all hot heads. Celebrate all things chilli in the hidden gem of a garden at historic Benington Lordship.

    Chilli Stalls

    Over 60 pitches of the nation's best known independent chilli traders selling everything and anything you can make with chillies - chutneys, sauces, pickles, seeds, cheese and chocolate.



    Unforgettable cooking & artesan beers

    There will be fabulous hot food, cooked on site, from around the world. Choose from Vegan delicatessen, Mexican burritos and tacos, Caribbean, Indian and Filippino curries, wood oven pizza, spicy sausages, pancakes, ice cream and more. Sample chilli beer from Fallen Angel brewery - Fire in the Hole, Black Death or Scotch Bonnet cider. For the less hardy there will be non-chilli beers, lagers, spicy Ginger beer and soft drinks.




    Chilli plants

    Prolong the pleasure and take home your own chilli plant. There will be hundreds available, plenty of different and unusual varieties, and friendly advice from knowledgable growers.





    This years entertainment is provided by Jones and Barnard. Escapology, juggling, and irreverent commedy.
    Plus Face painting and sand art for the children.




    Chilli Eating Competition

    For the hard core enthusiast, a unique opportunity to showcase your prowess at the world famous chilli eating competition sponsered by Encona Sauces from Welwyn Garden City who will provide a hamper for the winner. If you think you're hard enough, sign up on the day for the ultimate challenge. To be held each day at 4pm. limited to 12 participants, on first come, first served basis.





    Benington Chilli Festival is on Saturday 27th, Sunday 28th & Monday 29th August, 10am-5pm.
    Admission is; Adults £7.50. Children: Under 16's £2.50, Under 12's Free
